Dancehall Artist Jah Master Eyes Move to Afro Pop

Rodney,Desire Mashanduri, a renowned Zimbabwean dancehall artist, has revealed plans to transition into the Afro pop genre. The 27-year-old artist, who is commonly known by his stage name Jah Master, has become a household name in the country’s vibrant music industry, despite his young age.

In a recent interview, Jah Master reflected on his remarkable journey so far. “I’m proud to be a Zimbabwean dancehall artist, but I’m now looking forward to exploring new musical avenues, particularly Afro pop,” he said. “It’s been an incredible experience to achieve this level of popularity and recognition before even reaching the age of 30.”

Jah Master’s rise to fame was unexpected, as he explained that his breakout moment came in 2015 when he was just 18 years old. “I wasn’t actively seeking fame at the time, but the response to my music was overwhelming, and it really kickstarted my career,” he said.

Now, with several successful dancehall hits under his belt, Jah Master is confident that he can make a seamless transition into the Afro pop genre, which has been gaining significant traction in the region. “I’m excited to experiment with new sounds and themes, while still staying true to my Zimbabwean roots,” he added.
