The successful applicants will undergo a 2-year diploma program in Police Studies at the Mkushi Police Training Academy, an affiliate of the University of Zimbabwe.

“This recruitment drive is part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the Zimbabwe Republic Police and enhance our service delivery to the public,” said national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi.

To be eligible, candidates must possess a minimum of 5 Ordinary Level passes, including Mathematics, English Language, and another science subject. These qualifications must have been obtained within a maximum of 2 sittings.

Applicants will also need to meet strict physical requirements. Male candidates must have a minimum height of 1.68 meters and weigh at least 59 kilograms, while female applicants should be at least 1.62 meters tall and weigh proportionately to their height. All interested individuals must also be physically and medically fit.

Additionally, prospective recruits will be required to complete a 5-kilometer road run within a set time – 20 minutes for men and 25 minutes for women.

“We are looking for physically capable individuals who have the right academic background to undergo our intensive police training program,” explained Commissioner Nyathi.

In addition to the competitive salary, the ZRP is offering successful candidates a comprehensive benefits package that includes free uniforms, medical and dental care, housing and transport allowances, as well as generous leave conditions and opportunities for further academic and professional development.

Interested applicants should submit a handwritten application letter with their contact details and a 450-500 word personal history to the officer-in-charge of their nearest police station by July 8th. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
