Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Opening Shifted to Saturday with Kenya’s President to Still Grace the Occasion

The highly anticipated Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) had a surprise twist as the official opening, set to be graced by Kenya’s President Dr. William Ruto, has been rescheduled to Saturday. 

Breaking the news, Chairman Busisa Moyo cited unforeseen circumstances for the shift, promising a dynamic start on April 27th, with guests expected to be seated by 9:30 AM.

Despite the change, excitement mounts as Ruto retains his role as the esteemed guest of honor, poised to inaugurate the event with flair. Typically, the ceremony sees a foreign dignitary alongside President Emmerson Mnangagwa, but this year, Mnangagwa will explore the exhibition stands solo on Friday, building anticipation for Saturday’s grand opening.

Friday will still buzz with activity as President Mnangagwa leads a tour of the exhibits before indulging in the Chairman’s Luncheon, an exclusive affair not to be missed.

Mr. Moyo chimeipd in, expressing gratitude for the backing and comprehension received, while eagerly anticating the vibrant ZITF 2024 public visitor period slated for April 26-27.

This Tuesday marked the commencement of ZITF, witnessing a robust turnout of exhibitors showcasing their offerings.

Additionally, several nations from SADC, the Middle East, and Europe have joined in the exhibition.
