Miss Universe Lands in Zimbabwe

Reigning Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua, arrived in Zimbabwe yesterday for a five-day familiarization tour, aiming to celebrate diversity and inspire young women.

Palacios, the stunning 24-year-old beauty queen, touched down at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport yesterday afternoon.  She expressed her excitement about the visit, stating, “This trip made my life a whole life. I never learned but believe that every day is a new day to learn. I have been in 28 countries and I am here to feel your energy. We want to promote Destination Zimbabwe and want to represent the diversity of every single woman around the world. We are happy to be here and excited to share your culture and cuisine.”

The visit is expected to be a significant boost for Brand Zimbabwe, with Palacios engaging in various events and activities throughout her stay.  She will also visit Victoria Falls, a renowned tourist destination in Zimbabwe.

Honourable Miniyothabo Chiwenga, a board member of Miss Universe Zimbabwe, expressed the organization’s enthusiasm for Palacios’ visit. “We are happy you are here and hope you will be able to market Brand Zimbabwe. We have a lot of girls who are aspiring to be you and we hope your visit will inspire them and they will also learn from you.”

Palacios’ visit comes at a time when Zimbabwe has been attracting a growing number of high-profile individuals and celebrities. Her presence is expected to further enhance the country’s global profile.

The Miss Universe pageant will be held in Mexico later this year, where Palacios will hand over her crown to a new queen. Zimbabwean queen Sakhile Dube will represent the country at the prestigious event.
