Dr. Thomas Utete Wushe, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, outlined that the main objectives are to alleviate parking congestion and notably reduce the venue’s carbon footprint. He emphasized that by promoting the use of shuttle services from nearby hotels, they aim to mitigate parking pressures and minimize pollution. Additionally, encouraging attendees to explore the exhibition on foot is expected to enrich their experience.

Scheduled to occur between April 23 and 27 at the ZITF Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo, the 2024 ZITF will engage participants with its fresh theme, “Innovation: Driving Industrialization and Trade.” Originally centered on entrepreneurship, the updated theme underscores a more expansive dedication to innovation as a key driver of growth, reflecting Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 objectives.

Busisa Moyo, the chairperson of ZITF board, emphasized the significance of this renewed focus. He highlighted that Zimbabwe’s thriving innovation industry has flourished due to local efforts, which are in line with the country’s goals for fair development and economic growth.

By implementing these creative measures, ZITF aims to deliver a meaningful, enjoyable, and eco-conscious experience for attendees, establishing a model for upcoming trade exhibitions worldwide.
